Off topic, but to comment about Ortiz, I feel people are being slightly harsh on him, labelling him a coward for pulling out when he had his jaw broken. So did Arthur Abraham, Pernell Whitaker and Muhammad Ali, only difference is, they went the distance.
Because Ortiz pulled out, does not make him a coward, as it undoubtedly takes a lot of courage to even get in the ring an d put the gloves. All it means in the grand scheme of things, is that when the chips were down, Ortiz is simply not as courageous as Ali, Whitaker and Abraham were.

Paulie My Blood Brother from GOD!!! Man people just talk recklessly. The make a lot of noise like a motorbike but wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight. Ortiz is Ortiz and He is not any of the listed names. Lets keep it going Brother, its good to get a comment from you.
Hey Mr. Rapha, like I said in the text, the person who is the closest past equivalent of Victor is, I believe, Acelino Freitas. He quit twice when the going got tough and the opponents were giving it back to him, and, to my knowledge, he never had a broken jaw. He just wanted out (as an aside, Popo is now back fighting again, this time at 154).
Yes, you're right: Those people are revving up loud, but, like Zuri Lawrence, couldn't bust a grape if you gave them a sledgehammer to do it with! Victor shouldn't sweat people criticising him (very harshly and unfairly, in this case). I would venture to say that most of the people who are dogging him have never set foot inside a ring, even to spar, and certainly have never been punched in the face while they had a broken jaw - Ortiz' jaw was broken clean in 3 places.
I think people tend to be subjective and fickle with regard to injuries. For example, the same people who lambasted Vitali Klitschko as a coward for pulling out with a dislocated shoulder when he has well ahead on points, were most likely the same people who were lauding Vitali for his courage after his face had been slashed to ribbons by the fists of Lennox Lewis. It isn't Boxing that is a fickle business, in my opinion, but most of the people who populate the sport, and the fans who follow it.
